This unit focuses on PRODUCTIVE SKILLS which includes Speaking and Writing. The techniques of speaking which includes; controlled activity, guided activity and creative communication. This unit also focuses on the guidelines for a free speaking activity. Writing skills also is extensively detailed in this unit as well where students are encouraged to read extensively due to the fact that English language is a phonetic language in terms of writing. I learned via the set guidelines that encouraging students to speak, engaging them in games and activities using the ESA technique as well as extensive reading of texts can effectively increase communication fluency and accuracy as well as in writing.
