In this unit, I was able to see two examples of the same teacher giving the same lesson in different ways. It was clear to me that the attitude of the teacher had a profound impact on the ability of his students to learn what he was teaching. In addition to a poor attitude in the first lesson, the teacher also wasn't as prepared as he was in the second lesson. In the second lesson, he came in with pictures of animals to help engage the students. He also prepared an example for the activate phase of the lesson that helped students understand what he wanted them to do. After watching both videos, I better understand how important a good attitude and preparation are to teaching an effective lesson.
