Unit 9 discusses the importance of Lesson Planning. Although Lesson Planning is useful, especially for new teachers, it is important to be flexible and willing to change the plan when and if necessary. The unit describes how to create a lesson plan, what to include, and even gives an example and template that the reader can use. The reader is then introduced to how to monitor and evaluate one's own lessons in order to continue improving as an instructor. Lastly, the unit shows how to create a sequence of lessons and provides examples. For a new teacher, this unit is especially crucial for taking what has been learned in previous lessons and putting it into a lesson that can be used with students.
