I thought the information on the various roles of the teacher was very interesting, because I had never thought about it too much. I think I assumed before that any given teacher has a certain \"teaching style\" that only encompasses one of those roles, but this unit helped me see how a teacher can have an extremely varied teaching style, and can adapt their role to specific situations. I also thought the comparison of adult vs. younger learners was interesting - each age group has its own advantages for learning as well as its own challenges. For example, adult learners may have more motivation and greater attention spans, but younger learners can more readily absorb a new language from context.
