Unit 19’s primary focus was on the different teaching methods used to teach a specific group of students. For example teaching children can be vastly different than teaching adults. A child’s attention span is usually much less than that of an adult’s therefore teachers must think of interesting and engaging ways to keep the children concentrated on the lesson. Also adults are usually a lot more motivated to learn the language as they are making a conscientious decision to learn the English language. However many of their younger counter parts may be taking the class due to it being mandatory by the school system, therefore they may be much more uninterested in learning the language.
