This unit was useful in clarifying the relationship between teacher and student as well as further establishing the roles and natures of each. It was useful to read about the many positions a teacher may occupy in the classroom, and it caused me to consider more deeply how I would approach each classroom day and how each \"role\" I take on may determine the atmosphere of the classroom as a positive or negative learning environment. Additionally, the explanation of differences between adult and child learners was helpful in that it provided a clear distinction in certain areas. This is very important to remember as a teacher because the age of the student significantly affects the teaching approach.
