This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
There are 4 past tenses. We use Past Simple tense to talk about past actions completed at a definite time in the past. All verbs can be devided into regular verb and irregular verbs. Past Continious tense is used for interrupted past actions, descriptions. It can also express an action, which began before that time in the past. We use Past Perfect tense for actions that occured before other actions in the past. Past Perfect Continious can be used to talk about longer actions in the past that had been going on continuosly up to the past moment. There are a lot of games and activities that can be used in class to help the students to memorize the tense: role-plays, detective games, past story telling.
