Unit 11 is based on teaching receptive skills of the language, which include Reading and Listening. Both of them are equally important and, if possible, should be incorporated into your lesson for it to be effective and balanced.
There are two main reasons for reading and listening: 1) for a purpose; 2) for entertainment.
Depending on the objectives of reading/listening a number of skills can be applied, like:
-predictive skills;
-scanning;
-skimming;
-detailed information;
-deduction from context.
