This unit was a good example of lessons in practice, with an example of a good and bad implementation of essentially the same lesson. While the first video lesson was a bit obvious as to why it was terrible, the second lesson required a little bit more focus and critical thinking to pick out the issues, which I thought was valuable. I feel like I was able to learn how to think critically about my own lessons, and how having someone else watch and evaluate my lessons would be useful in this regard.
The second lesson was very useful for seeing a good example of teaching an appropriate lesson for the students level and the class size. I felt that I learned how one could run a lesson in a similar context.
