This unit covered teaching and learning in a business English classroom setting. The unit explained the various teaching roles and the different types of learners that teachers may come across in a business English classroom. The unit provided information about adult learners and the potential problems that may arise when teaching different types of groups. The unit also briefly introduced the productive skills (writing and speaking) and receptive skills (reading and listening). The unit concluded with an overview of some common teaching methods such as: Grammar Translation, Audio Lingualism, The Silent Way, Task-Based Learning, PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production), and ESA (Engage, Study, Activate).
