This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was a refresher on the various ways sentences can be broken down into all the separate pieces. The unit described the different types of nouns - common, proper, collective, compound and abstract and gave examples of these. I learned about the difference between comparative and superlative adverbs: comparative adverbs are used when comparing two people or things and superlative adverbs are used when referring the 'most of' or 'best of' when comparing. Next, the unit went into articles and those different types: indefinite and definite and gave many examples of how these are used. The section of the unit on gerunds was informative, a gerund is a verb used similar to a noun as a subject or object.
