This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit gives an overview of the present tense in English. It introduces the four forms of the tense: present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. It shows how to form and when to use each tense, including how to form negative and question versions of the tenses. It gives some ideas for teaching the tenses in the active portion of the engage, study, and active method of teaching that the course follows. For me, the most useful part of the unit was the descriptive explanations of when to use a particular tense. As a native speaker, I use the tenses out of habit and experience. These descriptions will help me explain the proper use of the tenses to English learners.
