A teacher who doesn’t plan her lesson is like a soldier who is going to a war without weapon. Lesson Planning is very important because this will serve as the guide of a teacher towards effective teaching. This unit discusses the importance of lesson planning, its functions, how it should be written, what should be included in the lesson plan, and how to apply the ESA Techniques in Lesson Planning.
Personally I learned many things in this unit. For instance I learned there are several special issues to be considered when you are planning your lesson such as flexibility, goals, revision, variety and balance. Finally, from this unit I managed to write sample lesson plans using the three ESA techniques.
