This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covered different teaching theories, outlined the methodology Engage, Study, and Activate (ESA) and how this method can be flexible--also describing various activities that a teacher could use during each stage of ESA--and explained what mistakes/errors a teacher should correct and when those corrections should be made. This unit was full of helpful, detailed information on a possible way to create a lesson plan and tips, quidelines, and descriptions about teaching methods and techniques, but the main thing that I have learned from it is that being flexible and varied in how I set up lesson plans is important because this will help students remain engaged and interested in what they are learning.
