This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit explains the different parts of speach in the English language. It clearly explains the purpose of each category. It is broken down into nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns and prepositions/conjunctions. Each category has many subdivisions and there are ussually quite a few words that are exceptions from the rule. While working through this chapter, I gained a new appreciation of how difficult the English language can be for a foreign language learner. For exapmle, having to memorise all the irregular verbs must be very confusing. Grammar is surely not the easiest part of the language, but I can see that a good understanding of it will surely make one a better teacher.
