Unit 17 discusses a variety of equipment and teaching aids. Some of the more popular ones include the board, overhead projectors, DVDs, and computers. In this unit I learned that there are many different types of equipment and teaching aids available to teachers. One thing that surprised me was that when writing on the whiteboard it's important to not write in all capital letters, as it's more natural and helpful to the students to use lowercase. Personally, sometimes I use capitals -- along with different colors, etc. -- when I take notes as a way to distinguish different sections and/or parts. This to me is very interesting, as I wouldn't have thought twice about using capitals on the board while teaching.
