This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit on Phonology contained totally new information to me. I learned about intonation, stress, the International Phonemic Alphabet, the manner of Articulation, i.e., ways our breathe is used to make sounds including, Plosives, Affricates, Fricatives, Nasals, Laterals, and Approximants. I also learned about the places of Articulations including Bilateral, Labio-dental, Dental, Alveolar, Palatal Alveolar, Palatal, Velar, and Glottal.
This unit was super packed with new information. I am thinking, in the future, I might want to take a course in phonology. It seemed rather overwhelming trying to learn so much information in one unit of this course. It seems like it deserves to be a whole course in itself.
