It's helpful to understand the mechanics of language acquisition and how the way we shape a lesson can affect how well students acquire the language. The correction section was very interesting for me because I am very averse to pointing out mistakes and errors when people are speaking. But I understand that my role as a teacher will require me to do so. The section taught me to how to tactfully and respectfully correct students so that they will be less motivated. I also thought the idea of self correction was interesting because it does not only put the onus on me to show them their mistakes. It reminds me that students are capable learners who can correct themselves and reflect upon what they are learning!
