In this unit I have learned about different learning and behaviour theories. One is the maturation theory supported by Gessell, Hunt and Reisner , that states that regardless of other stimuli a natural sequence of events will take place. Another is the environmental theory , supported by Bandura, Watson and Skinner, who say that our behaviour is a reaction to our surroundings. Constructivism combines these two theories and is supported by Montessori, Vygotsky, Piaget and Dewey. From this unit I learned some examples of language acquisition rather than learning. From the Maturation section of this unit I learned how to organise activities in different age groups based on their likes and dislikes and abilities.
