This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this lesson, the focus lies on teaching techniques and methods. The suggested method for new TEFL-teachers is the ESA-method. Easy to remember: always start with an engaging-part, always end with an activity. Engaging to get the students attention, to engage them with the language and set the table for the following parts. It's always good to have a connection to the following lesson content or to implement some review of recently learned content, but this should not be the main focus! I personally like to use activity-parts in order to see possible difficulties students have and to be able to work more specifically on topics they struggle with. So the boomerang lesson plan is one I probably will use often.
