In the lesson teaching productive skills we learn the differences between accuracy and fluency which are both equally important. We can teach students accuracy with specific activities like: drilling, prompting, modeled dialog and guided role-playing. Fluency is thought with specific activities like discussions, debates, simulations, and communication games. We always want to encourage students to speak when they have problems like: lack of confidence, lack of interest or fear of making mistakes, etc. The techniques that we can use are; pared work, group work, careful planning or change in the classroom dynamics. In writing skills we have to watch out for: handwriting, spelling, punctuation and creative writing.
