This unit really helped me to understand better about the class management and how teachers should act towards students. The methods of arranging classrooms, grouping students and how to efficiently use gestures and make eye contact truly helped me a lot. The content that I have learnt from this unit will assist me greatly in future when I?m planning out the classroom.In this unit, I learnt about different types of listening and reading (e.g., listening/reading for gist/skimming, listening/reading for specific information). I have also learnt about the importance of such skills as predicting and deducting from context. The final part of the unit gave me an example of how to integrate teaching listening/reading into an ESA lesson plan.
