This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I think the biggest knowledge I gained from this chapter was knowing how each past tense was structured. The past simple form needs to add -ed or -d to the base form of the verb. So the verb is the key to knowing when to add the -ed. In addition, I gained a better understanding with the past perfect tense. The key to the form is to recognize had + past participle. Therefore, noticing the past participle after had is being used, can make a difference compare to past perfect continuous. I often caught people saying I+had+regular form. Similar to the text, I found people mistakenly used had+been and omit the -ing. I felt that seeing clearly how the form is written can simplify the understanding and easier to grasp.
