Conditionals and reported speech are sentences that contain 'if' or 'when' in either order of clauses.
There are 5 main conditionals:
Zero Conditional - if/when + present tense, past tense - refers to actions and facts.
First Conditional - if + present simple, will - possible, probable, or certain situation in the future once the condition has been met.
Second Conditional - if + past simple, would/could/might + base form - Present or future hypothetical situation, mostly unlikely.
Third Conditional - if + past perfect, would/could/might + have + past particle - hypothetical past action.
Mixed Conditional - if + past perfect, would + base form - hypothetical past action and the hypothetical present consequence.
