Unit 1 is about teachers and learners and their types and stages. The unit teaches about roles and responsibilities of both the teachers and the learners. There should be good qualities to make a good teacher such as to be kind and patient, should really love teaching, he/she is able to motivate learners, he/she should be able to involve all of the students in the classroom etc. To be a good learner, you should be ready and willingly to learn, and ask questions. There are some models of teachers who sometimes help, organize, correct, observe, tutor or become a participant during teaching the learners. The learners also have different types like beginners, elementary, intermediate, upper-intermediate and advanced.
