The unit explored teaching special groups. Starting off with beginners, the unit then touched upon one to one/individual lessons, then young learners and finally business English. There were many tips that I learnt to watch out for with beginner learners, but the Business English section was the most informative part for me. I learnt a field which was I wasn’t familiar with at all; learning more about clients, how to prepare a curriculum and things to consider which may be different from a usual school setting.
Another aspect of teaching special groups that the unit touched upon was the difference between monolingual and multilingual groups. Although the section was short, it had a lot of applicable advice.
