This unit was very interesting and offered great insight into teaching materials and resources. Many common teaching aids that are used in the classroom are: whiteboards, overhead projectors, worksheets, DVDs, cassette tapes and computers amongst several others. Teaching aids and materials are important to engage the student and keep the lesson exciting and interesting. Teaching aids are great to help teachers supplement their lesson plan and cut down on some of teacher talk time. There are several online resources available for teachers to use across the world to teach English. Several dictionaries are also available for translating and to help students identify and understand different words, meanings and contexts.
