In this lesson, I learned how to be an effective and motivational teacher. What interests me the most is teaching young children and this unit outlined great strategies to do so. For example, being the classroom manager and controller is important, but it also has its place. I can't control everything the students do and i can't be constantly over their shoulders. I have to give them some room to learn on their own while also being there just in case they need help. I should guide them in the right direction instead of constantly correcting them. Correcting students too much can make them feel like they're not good enough or not learning at the same pace as the others and will take away their motivation to learn more.
