The most important lesson I have taken away from this unit is that a good teachers care about their teaching but more importantly about the learning of the student. When teaching non native English speakers it is important to have a clear understanding of the age, culture and language level of the students in order to fulfill your role as a teacher and to be able to encourage your students to be good learners. I have learnt that the role of Organizer is one of the most important roles a teacher will fulfill and that it is important that as a teacher one becomes comfortable in this role in order to have a fully functioning class. The relationship between learners and teachers is very important and can be a complex issue.
