The videos provided some useful and tangible examples of both positive and negative manners of teaching. The first lesson was largely ineffective as the teacher came into class with a bad attitude, was rude and unhelpful during the course of the lesson and did not respond effectively to the students' intimidated and disinterested signals. The second lesson, however, presented a teacher who came into class with a contagiously positive attitude which translated to the students quickly and provided an effective, engaging, and useful lesson for the students throughout. The second example should provide teachers an example of good teaching methods while the first should guide teachers away from poor choices in the classroom.
