This unit breaks down the future tense into seven forms: the future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, present simple with future meaning, present continuous with future meaning, and \"going to\" future. Within each of these forms, the unit details in which kinds of situation the form is appropriately used, the syntax, helping verbs, and spelling changes necessary for the formulation of each form, and where common mistakes are made by students learning these forms. I learned how to differentiate between present tenses with present meaning versus those with future meaning, such that students can clearly identify when a present tense of a verb is actually meant to indicate a future event.
