Unit 6 was about past tenses which simply relates to past time periods. It has four types, namely; past simple (which talks about completed actions at a definite time in the past), past continuous (which expresses actions that began before a certain time and continued thereafter), past perfect (which is referred to as the past in the past) and past present continuous (which talks about longer actions in the past that had been going on continuously up to a certain moment in the past. The unit also discussed common errors and mistakes learners make in dealing with pst tenses. Teaching ideas for activate stage were also given when teaching past tenses to learners to enable them to remember and get to know the tenses better.
