This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 16 was on conditionals and reported speech. It was a unit where it was hard to process the terminology but I knew it all already through speaking it every day. It was a confusing unit. Conditionals are best described as if/when clauses. There are five main conditionals. Zero conditionals are for actions that are certain. First conditionals talk about a situation in the future that is certain to happen. Second conditionals discuss a future unreal scenario which is probably not true. Third conditionals are for hypothetical past actions. Finally there are mixed conditionals which are a mix of the above. The reported speech section of the unit discussed how the tenses change when you are relaying what was spoken to you.
