Unit 8 is all about teaching productive skills which are two another important competencies in teaching language. Speaking and writing are skills which are equally important as Reading and Listening. However, many students always find writing more difficult than any of the other skills. In this unit I learned that accuracy and fluency are two different things which should be taken in consideration. For instance accuracy is important in writing while fluency is for speaking. Aside from these, there are many important communicative purpose to be considered in order to achieve both fluency and accuracy in teaching productive skills. Various activities should also be implemented by the language teacher through the ESA method.
