The key objective of this unit was how to manage your class. To do this you learn how to build a rapport with your students by using gestures, your voice and learning students names. I also learnt how to group students, give instructions and arrange the classroom seating so that it compliments my lesson plan. Another element of this unit that I found useful was learning the advantages and disadvantages of TTT ( teacher talking time) and STT ( student talking time).
Maintaining discipline is also a factor and i must be conscience of the reasons behind bad behaviour such as family problem or even boredom. Responding correctly and professionally is very important to maintain a positive student-teacher relationship.
