In the first lesson the teacher looked and sounded annoyed the entire time. He didn't engage the students in a welcoming manner. He didn't create a comfortable learner environment for the students. He didn't provide examples for the verbs or the animals. He didn't give an explanation for the work sheets. He didn't allow for student talk time. He didn't give the students a chance to work in groups. The second lesson he started off by introducing himself and asking the students their names. He engaged them by asking the students to come up with animals. The demonstrated the verbs he wanted them to learn. He gave great examples of how to write and say the auxiliary verbs.
