Unit 14 is about course books and materials. It was a fast but illustrating chapter about what to take into consideration when using creative material, authentic material and course books. Personally I learned the difference between creative and authentic material and realized that is probably true that students might like authentic material for its closeness to real situations. Meanwhile, about the course books, it was a great insight on what to look forward when using them and to be aware to no be over taken by them. Therefore, the four options (omit, replace, supplement, adapt) on how to use a course book seem like a very helpful aid so this doesn’t happen and we are always centered on our student’s needs.
