There was a lot of information to cover in unit 16 and although I am familiar with the many examples of the conditionals and direct vs indirect speech, I would have preferred to approach the two grammar points separately. It was however, good to name the different usages and find out the reason behind the rules. I was able to identify with the problems foreign speakers may face, when thinking about my own struggles when learning the German language.
I appreciated the many teaching ideas featured in this unit and will actually use the 'Find someone who....' example in my own class this week. My grade 1 class are currently learning about 'reporting', and this exercise will illustrate the importance of reporting accurately.
