As always, this unit has been an excellent review unit for my previous TESOL training, particularly in regards to the ESA teaching methodology. I find that I need to constantly practice and plan out this method or I quickly forget how to do it properly. There is a big difference in authentic and non authentic materials. Non authentic materials may be simpler and \"easier\" to plan for but they are not a true representation of English materials students would meet outside in the world and can feel scripted and dull. I also learned the importance of demonstrating lan example of assignment. It is not ok to just expect the students to know how to perform if no demonstration has been given. This is an excellent insight for me!
