I learned different approaches to teaching English in this lesson. I found the discussion on ESA and the different approaches to be very useful. I see how each of the three approaches can be beneficial and useful in the classroom. I also really enjoyed all of the sample activities that were provided for the classroom. I have played some of these games myself in Spanish and French classes and would definitely like to use them in my classroom. Developing games and other fun strategies for engaging students is an effective way to get students to participate in class, as well as making the class fun for them. The more engaged students are in a lesson, the more likely they are to retain the material once they leave their class.
