I feel that in this unit I have been introduced to the various levels, certifications and basic needs in the world of teaching business English. It is important to realize that as a teacher, my job in teaching business English is to support clients in what they already know about their field and facilitate them feeling more confident in communicating in their field in English. While there may be specific terms to any field, generally clients will have some level of familiarity with their field's terms and thus need more support in synthesizing vocabulary, grammar and gaining confidence in communication. Improving their grasp of English will open doors into the business community for clients seeking business English classes.
