It was very clear from the beginning how successful the teacher was going to be in each video. In the first, he simply started right into the most difficult part of the lesson without allowing the student a chance to warm up. In the second video, however, he started off with a simple activity after learning their names so that they would become comfortable and willing to participate from the onset. I think this is an extremely important aspect to understand when teaching. Students should be steadily prompted towards the more difficult parts of the lesson instead of going at it from the start. This not only warms their brains up, but it gives them the confidence needed to participate later when the lesson gets more difficult.
