This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit focused on troubleshooting. As this is the last unit, I feel that trouble shooting is an appropriate and necessary topic. Variations in class size, using native language in the class room, reluctant students, students at different learning levels, etc. were covered. As troubleshooting is something that generally is not thought about until the situation arises, I feel that the information presented is invaluable. While reading the material I found myself considering the different types of class environments I will be teaching in and how each case mentioned could apply. This type of thinking will allow teachers to develop generic solutions to the problems presented that can then be tailored if/when the problem arises.
