This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit, I learned the various forms of the present tense. It was interesting to learn that there are a total of 12 verb forms in the English language whereas there are only 3 in the Slavic languages. I'm curious if this will make it easier or more difficult to teach English to Slavic students. As for the present tenses, I learned that there are 4 sub-categories: present perfect, present simple, present continuous, and present perfect continuous. Of these, the most important differentiation I learned was as follows: present perfect uses 'have', present simple uses 'do', present continuous uses 'be', and present perfect continuous uses 'have been'. Overall, I found this lesson to be very important for future ESL teachers.
