I can understand why students learning English have trouble with intonation, stress, pronunciation, etc. As a native English speaker, the process comes so naturally that I was unsure of myself and even a little confused at times with this unit. It was interesting to learn about the way in which our mouths work and that a non-native English speaker can learn how to say the word through imitating what I do with my mouth. The different drills such as tongue twisters or choral work seem as though they would be most beneficial because, at least for me, learning the phonemes was challenging. I cannot say that I know them all yet! I have to admit that it was a fun practice and I do believe it would help students of English long term.
