This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit mentioned at the beginning that some teachers hate giving tests. I am one of those teachers. I wish this chapter would have gone more into how to administer a test and how to deal with the scores of those tests. How do I help a discouraged student who receives poor grades on their tests? How do I avoid making a test too easy? How do I make tests less about memorization and more about learning? These are things I wish this unit discussed. However, it is good to know the various types of tests. I was not aware there were so many. Since I will possibly be working with high school students, I'm sure I will be working towards TOEFL practice tests. As a side note, I also like the idea of the student evaluating the teacher.
