This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
In this unit I learned the main parts of speech and some of the basic grammar rules that go with each. I learned to categorize nouns as countable or uncountable and how to make nouns plural. This unit also reviewed pronouns, verbs and their principle parts, adverbs, adjectives, infinitives, gerunds, prepositions, and conjunctions. While much of this was review for me, some rules were new to me as I previously just knew them intuitively, for example: using “Much†vs. “many,†when to use “more†and “most†for comparatives and superlatives, the order of adjectives and adverbs, and the placement of adverbs. I also now feel more confident in explaining the purpose and proper usage of articles.
