This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 16 focused on conditionals and reported speech. I learnt about the 5 different conditionals; zero, first, second, third, and mixed conditionals. I think conditionals can be very confusing for students, especially when they involve hypothetical situations. Even for myself, it took a little time to think about the sentence structure for each point. Some good activities for students to practice conditionals would be having split sentences which the students must match up, completing the conditional with their own ideas, or playing a group game of chain conditionals. For the reported speech section, I struggled with some of the tense changes. After practicing with many sentences I think I have managed to get my head around it.
