In this unit we learned about teachers' roles and learners' roles in the classroom. The qualities of a good teacher and those of a good learner were dealt with and elaborated through reading the chapter and watching the video.
What I liked best was the statement 'a good teacher cares about their teaching'. If you care, you will be able to pay attention to use all the roles appropriately in your lessons.
I also found particularly important to learn about students characteristics in terms of age, experience, motivation, language awareness, and so forth. These features go hand in hand with curriculum development and lesson planninng. They also can help a teacher provide students with opportunities for sucesfully learn a language.
