Unit 13 has been refreshing to my experience. In my opinion, Pronunciation, intonation, and phonemes are three parts of speech that students worry about in schools. It does not matter what the language is; it will always be either difficult or easy for the students to master these three aspects.
Knowing how to call each part inside your mouth helps a great deal, when learning how to pronounce the sounds correctly. The phonics system is so far the best resource that an ESL teacher has to help his students.
I am so happy to have refreshed all this knowledge, and be able once again to read phonetic scripts. It does help a lot.
